Easter Assembly 2015

On the last day of the spring term, Denver VC School had the pleasure of presenting their Easter assembly to their families in St Mary’s Church.

The children in Class 1 gave a confident performance. The presentation started with a clear assured introduction from Joseph Burt, followed by the children taking turns to say what they would give up for Lent.  There were a wide variety of things the children would give up, such as, fun activities, special toys, shouting, money, chocolate, being naughty and having messy rooms.

Next Aimee and Ralph told the audience about our Class Washday Week where the class did lots of washing activities both at home and at school to remind them that Jesus came to wash away their mistakes so that they can be happy.

Then Evan explained that the children in squirrel group had made up a wash day song which the whole class sang loudly to end their Easter presentation.

Finally Leo thanked everyone for listening to Class 1.

Here is the squirrel’s wash day song.

If you are happy and you know it scrub a dub,

If you are happy and you know it scrub a dub,

If you are happy and you know and you really want to show it,

If you are happy and you know it scrub a dub.

If you are happy and you know it splishy splashy,

If you are happy and you know it splishy splash,

If you are happy and you know and you really want to show it,

If you are happy and you know it splishy splashy.

If you are happy and you know it wishy washy,

If you are happy and you know it wishy washy,

If you are happy and you know and you really want to show it,

If you are happy and you know it wishy washy.

If you are happy and you know it everywhere is sparkly clean,

If you are happy and you know it everywhere is sparkly clean,

If you are happy and you know and you really want to show it,

If you are happy and you know it everywhere is sparkly clean.
